GENERAL INFORMATION

Personal Prayer:
“Lord Jesus Christ!
I give you my hands so that You can work with them!
I give you my feet so that You can walk with them!
I give you m eyes so that You can see with them!
I give you my tongue so that You can speak with it!
I give you my thoughts so that You can think with them!
I give you my spirit so that You pray in me!
Above all, I give You my heart
so that in me you can love Your Father
and all of humanity.
I submit myself to You completely,
so that You can grow in me,
so that You can live in me, work in me, and pray in me.
Amen”

Family Prayer:

“Lord God of all times and places,
Be with us while we pray:
for families that strive to converse in love,
for families that enjoy togetherness,
for families that long to live with less so that others can have more,
for families that are in need and that struggle for the basic necessities of life,
for families that read Your Word together,
for families that have difficulty finding time
to spend together,
for my family,
for the families in our community,
for the families in our parish,
for families throughout the world,
for all families,
we pray that Your Word
grow in them,
so that Your love radiate from their midst.
This we pray to You through Christ our Lord.
Amen.”

Sacraments

Baptisms – Saturday or Sunday.
Parents who are parishioners at Our Lady Queen of Croatia Parish and wish their child to be baptized, will have the opportunity to attend Baptism preparation classes on the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish office at 7 Croatia St. Parents should register with the Parish secretary prior to the first Tuesday, and be ready to attend the meeting with the godparents of the child. BAPTISM-REGISTRATION-FORM can be downloaded and information can be sent to the Parish office via email, (office@torontozupa.com) or dropped off at the office. Godparents must obtain a recommendation letter from their Pastor, which should be brought to the preparation meeting and given to the priest. If you have any further questions, you can contact the Parish office at 416-536-3669, or via email, office@torontozupa.com.

Weddings – Saturday. By order of the Bishop, the engaged couple must meet with the parish priest one year before the intended wedding day, and bring the necessary documents (if not baptized in the parish, a baptismal certificate is required indicating the single status, as well as information about the Sacrament of Confirmation). They also need to attend a marriage preparation course organized by a Croatian parish, or one offered elsewhere. If anyone has been married previously, either civilly or in the Church, the date of the wedding cannot be set without the permission of the local bishop.

Patients in hospitals or in home care – we will visit at any time. Please call while there is still time and the ill persons are still able to communicate.

Confession is offered Sundays and weekdays a half hour before Mass. Anyone wishing to confess should stand by the confessional.

Conversation with the priest is available by appointment.
